How to buy healthy food in Buenos Aires

If you already now how to eat healthy, you don't need to read all this page. But in case you want to visit Buenos Aires you would like to know where to buy organic products, which brands are organic also vegetarian restaurants choose. Basics for eating healthy in general

A bad diet, stress and bad thoughts are the main causes of diseases. A complete health implies body, mind and spirit aspects. That's why I recommend to start with a good and healthy diet and do also some yoga and meditation daily. In case of illness consult an ayurvedic or chinese or naturists doctors as they know how to cure with natural medicines and are experts in nutrition.

Here I give 15 habits to change for improving drastically and permanently your health and live longer:

1- Drink pure water. Could be filtered tap water (as pure as possible). Avoid all kind of additives (in drinks and foods). Do not have bought processed drinks: bottled or canned (as almost all of them has additives). Filtered is even better than mineral (as minerals are added mostly artificially). Avoid any kind of additives in general (in food or drinks). Additives are accumulated for years in the body generating all kind of health problems. List of some dangerous additives.

2- Choose organic (BIO) products most as you can (vegetables and animals). It means without pesticides, hormones, genetically manipulated, treating well the animals and people in all the production process, etc.

3-Leave red meat and diary products (cause of many diseases like cancer, osteoporosis, etc.). If it is possible also leave all animal products: follow the vegan diet (excluding any kind of meat, milk, butter, cheeses and derivated). Also animals will thank you. In buddhism says that "Health comes having a compassionate life style". See the supporting material about this topic, later in this page.

4- Leave white sugar and refined salt. Use sugar cane or stevia instead of white sugar, and sea salt instead of refined salt.

5-Leave fritters. Raw oils are healthy but cooked are toxic.

6- Leave white flours. Eat whole-grains flours instead.

7-Fruits are very healthy. But do not mix them with other foods. After eating fruits wait at least 30 mins to eat other food. After eating other foods, wait 2 hours for eating fruits or drinking fruit juices. Also do not mix acid with sweet fruits (for example do not mix citrics with bananas).

8- Eat fruits and vegetables raw or short vapor cooked. Cooking burns all vitamins and proteins. Even many when cooked are converted to toxics.

9- Chew very good the food before swallow, until it gets liquid. If drink smoothies mix the liquids in the mouth with the saliva before swallow.

10- Avoid bottled / canned foods and processed foods in general. Eat fresh food instead (that you can see is alive before eating it). Buy living food. If is processed by yourself, eat it immediately. Avoid any preparation with additives (preservatives, colorants, etc.).

11- Leave tabacco, alcohol and coffee. Are inhibitors of absorption of nutrients. Also causes many diseases.

12- Avoid toxic tools in the kitchen. Do not use at all: microwaves, teflon neither aluminium. Avoid when you can plastic in contact with food or liquids.(other link for plastics)

13-Expose your skin to the sun at least 30 minutes per day (between the first or last 3 hours of sun of the day).

14-Breath pure air in nature every day one hour.

15.a)-What I recommend is to be Vegan !!! It means eat only vegetables and avoid eating any kind of animals or derivated. Is the most complete and healthy option supported by the science. Vegan diet gives you ALL the nutrientes you need if you do it balanced eating of every group: fruits, vegetables, cereals (whole seed flours), nuts, seeds, grains and oils. Just need to take in addition the vitamin B12 supplement (10 micrograms a day). Here there is a video of a precise explanation of the Vegan Pyramid of food to eat balanced (in just 8 minutes).

15.B)- To eat balanced you should eat from all the following groups: nuts, beans, cereals, vegetables, green leaves, and fruits. In case you do not eat balanced or if you wish, you can use natural supplements (known also as super foods for the incredible amount of properties for the health). The most powerful are: goji berries, spirulina, pollen, brewer's yeast, açaí, maca, wheat germ, hemp seed, among, cacao (raw chocolate), wheat grass, (find them in internet to see the properties of each, are all raw and natural vegetables). One tip: But eat nutritionally complete could be very easy if we know some tricks. In an ayurvedic consult the doctor told me if you do not eat balanced, just eat a Dahl 3 times a week. Dahl is an Indian plate that have all the nutrients you need (proteins, amino acids included) with a simple combination of rice and lentils or mung. The rice has all the amino acids that mixed with the proteins of the lentils give us all the complete proteins we need. See the recipe here.

I would resume in my opinion the best diet: go Vegan, consume just organic (BIO) products, eat at least 50% raw (not cooked). Three reasons to do it: 1) for your health, 2) to stop supporting suffering and killing animals, 3) for the environment.
