My intention is to give you a hint of very good tango dancers so you could watch them. In youtube you will find many tango dancers. Thats why I want to share with you some of the best in my criteria, so you could start watching them. In parenthesis I explain why I like them.
I just put one video per teacher but you should search more in youtube as are many performances more of each teacher:
Great Social and Stage dancers:
The following were my teachers for so I recommend them for watching and learning:
Chicho Frumboli. His partners were Lucia Mazer, Eugenia Parrilla and Juana Sepulveda. (innovative, easy and organic, functional, musical, improvisation master (even this video was choreography, "he is THE master of tango nuevo"). Now he is dancing with Juana Sepulveda. I recommend them as a great teachers too. I am taking lessons with him since 2000 every year.
Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne (musicality, functionality, dynamics, creator of Tango Nuevo). With Chicho Frumboli, the best teacher and the main source of learning of me (I took many years lessons with him since 1999 till now)
Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes (fast footwork, many tricks, precise, energetic, masters in improvisation and also choreographies). I recommend them as a great teachers too (I took few lessons with them).
Julio Balmaceda and Corina De la Rosa (social dance, embrace, milonga, cadencia) Also great teachers as I took many lessons with them.
Gabriel Angio and Natalia Games (tango for stage and also social, traditional style, way of walking, giros, enrosques, adornos, speed). Also good teachers (I took lessons with them for 3 years).
Horacio Godoy (social tango, playful musicality, changes of dynamics, energetic) Great teachers (I took many lessons with him)
Other dancers you should watch:
Pablo Rodriguez and Noelia Hurtado (improvisation social dance style, also world champions of tango salon, nice close embrace). As a couple they do not work together anymore.
Sebastian Achaval and Roxana (elegance, speed, tricks, also world champions of tango salon, close embrace).
Geraldine Rojas and Javier Rodrigues (improvisation for social dance, villa urquiza style). As a couple they do not work together anymore.
Great Stage dancers:
Melina Brufman and Claudio Gonzalez (good on stage)
Roberto Herrera and Vanina Bilous (He is a master of enrosques, energy, speed, power, impressive in choreographyes). As a couple do not work together anymore. Just liked this performance a lot so I want to share it.
MAX VAN DE VOORDE Y SOLANGE (great tango performance in a competition, stage champeons 2011). I just saw this performance from them.
